By using Weight Medics, services and website, users acknowledge the Terms and Conditions they must abide by when using our services.

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms on which we provide products and services. You should read these terms carefully before placing an order, as they may have changed since you last reviewed them.

By placing an order for any of our products or services you are entering into a contract with us and confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. About Us 

1.1 We offer consultations and doctor led advice and personal weight loss packages, Nutritionist and Functional Nutritionist advice, the provision of advice and information on our website, where appropriate following clinical assessment, the prescription and dispensing of prescription-only medicines or referral for other treatments and procedures ('Services').

1.1. Our products and services are provided by Advanced Weight Solutions LTD t/a Weight Medics. We are registered in England and Wales with company number 15609697. Our registered address is 65 Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1W 8SP.

1.2. We are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (‘CQC’), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. All our clinicians are registered with and regulated by the relevant UK regulator, including (but not limited to) the General Medical Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council (‘GPhC’) or NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council). We use external pharmacies, these are also registered with the GPhC to carry out dispensing on our behalf.

1.3. The Clinicians we engage are registered in the United Kingdom with the General Pharmaceutical Council, Nursing Midwifery Council and General Medical Council and each hold accredited prescriber qualifications. The Clinicians are trained in providing remote consultations and issuing prescription medicine online.

2. Accessing our site

2.1. Our Site is directed to people residing in the UK only. We do not represent that content available on or through our Site is appropriate for use or available in other locations. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Site and purchase any products or medications available via the Site.

3. Jurisdiction and applicable law

3.1. If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

4. Payments, Offers and Promotions

4.1. All new patient consultation bookings incur a £25 consultation fee. This is redeemable against treatment should you wish to proceed and are medically suitable for treatment. If you are assessed as unsuitable for treatment or decide not to proceed, Weight Medics will retain the £25 as the consultation fee. Failure to attend a new patient consultation without giving 24 hours prior notice, will result in the £25 deposit becoming non-refundable.

4.2. All package fees must be settled by electronic payment link immediately following each appointment, prior to deliveries being processed and dispensed. 

4.3. The costs for our Services, are clearly listed on our Website. All prices are provided in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT, where applicable.

4.4. Any promotional offers, including but not limited to the “£30 Off” promotion and the “Refer a Friend” scheme, shall be applied as a deduction from the cost of your subsequent prescription. The applicable discount will be reflected in the amount payable via the electronic payment link provided. All promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended at our discretion.

4.5. We offer a ‘Refer a Friend’ promotion on Mounjaro and Wegovy referrals only. If eligible, this promotion can only be used by a new patient that you are introducing to us during the new patient’s first appointment or order. We will check that the new patient has not been to us before and has not already been introduced to us. Once the new patient that you are introducing to us has purchased a package from us, you will receive a £30 credit on your account and the new patient will receive a £30 credit on their account. 

5. Refunds

5.1. Due to legislative and regulatory requirements for the safe handling of prescriptive medication, no prescription medication can be returned. Fees paid for the programme are not refundable even if the medication is unsuitable and not tolerated. You may be offered alternative medication as part of my subsequent package.

5.2. Any refund request for medication not yet dispensed will be calculated at the full list price minus full list price for any services received.

5.3. In the rare event that a Mounjaro or Wegovy injection pen malfunctions, and despite our best endeavours
to troubleshoot for you, it will need to be returned to the manufacturer for testing. During this period, either a new pen must be purchased or treatment will be temporarily paused until the investigation concludes. If a genuine fault is confirmed, a replacement pen will be credited to patients accounts.

5.4. For clarity, all medications and treatments carry the risk of potential side effects, whether known or unforeseen. The presence of side effects alone does not automatically entitle you to a refund or replacement, as outlined in our terms. Should you experience any adverse or unexpected effects, please contact us to review your options.

5.6 Supply Shortages. In the event of supply shortages, Weight Medics reserves the right to issue a refund for any affected order. Such refunds will be made in full minus any applicable consultation fee, where stock is not available to fulfil the prescription or treatment plan.

6. Suitability

6.1. Patients must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for treatment by Weight Medics. As part of the verification process, all patients are required to provide a valid government-issued photo identification document to confirm their age. Weight Medics reserves the right to refuse treatment if age verification is not satisfactorily completed.

6.2. Weight Medics is not suitable for women who are pregnant due to the different nutritional requirements to support growth and development during pregnancy. Women who are breastfeeding are eligible to partake in some parts of the programme. However, as this remains an important time for growth and development of a child, it is essential that all nutritional requirements are met. Therefore, if you are breastfeeding, you will need to inform your clinician to ensure they are able to support you in the best way possible.

6.3. We can only treat patients wit a BMI of 27 or above. Please note we do not refund deposits for those with a BMI of below 27.

6.4. When assessing your suitability for any treatment, our Clinicians take into account your individual needs and circumstances.  

6.5. Phentermine and Diethylpropion are classified as controlled drugs, prescribed as “specials”, and are unlicensed. Unlicensed medication may be prescribed only if the patient has a valid clinical need, and there is no suitable licensed medication available. Our Clinicians will discuss this with you during your consultation if tablet medication is requested and deemed medically suitable.

6.6. We are unable to prescribe weight loss tablets to patients who are aged 65 or above at the time of their new patient assessment. Some of our products and services, including certain weight loss tablet medicine, may not be suitable In these cases, weight loss injections might be suggested by the Clinician where clinically appropriate. 

6.7. We are unable to prescribe weight loss injections to those who are aged 75 or above at time of their assessment. However, following an assessment by one of our doctors we may recommend alternative products and services, where clinically appropriate.

6.8. For Weight Medics to provide the safest care, with your prior written consent we will inform your GP if you are prescribed appetite suppressants. With your written consent we will also review your Summary Care Record held by your GP to ensure its safe and clinically appropriate to treat you.
